So I haven't been on this thing in forever. I've been writing a little bit, but not nearly as much as I'd like. Life is crazy. I read over my last issue and have tried to follow the advice given to me (thanks much penelope!) but it's been hard. I am trying to finish "Of All the Girls in the World" since it is dragging on... the last few chapters are going to be the hardest. I want to finish it with as much energy as I started. (Sigh) I don't know how the people who participate in the National Novel Writing Month can do it. I give you all so much credit.
Anyway. Good luck to those who are participating and hopefully you will inspire me to write as well!

I can't tell you why I'm having trouble with my stories. Besides that little teaser I posted for "Of All the Girls in the World", I'm trying to write the next chapter of my fp story, "Call Me." Sadly enough, it's not as though I don't have the time to write. I do. But for whatever reason, my muse has escaped me.
And I WANT to write, I really do. I don't know what's wrong with me.
So. Suggestions. How do YOU awaken your muse? Music? Movies? Sleeping? I would be forever grateful if someone could help me out here. My lack of focus when writing is driving me crazy!

(squeee) this is my first official blog from my very new laptop. yay!!!!!
my grandpa bought this for me, even though my birthday was two months ago. he claims it's a late birthday present, even though he and my grandmother got me something. oh well. i adore it. my other laptop has been getting rather slow lately... it's from the late 90s. so. it's time for a change.
hopefully this will inspire me to write more. a new chapter of "call me" is in the process; it's roughly 50% done. after "call me" i'll start in on "of all the girls in the world". the latter is going to be more difficult, so maybe we'll see it in... march?
once again, i am so very happy, and i would ramble on and on about how much i adore this laptop, but i have to eat dinner before my friend and i go to a basketball game. adios!

gahhhh, i'm so mad! i'm trying to post a chapter on fanfiction and it won't let me log in! it keeps saying to go to the support site and then my stupid computer won't let me bring it up!!!! grrrrrrrrrrr. i tell ya, it was a challenge enough to actually write the damn chapter, but now posting it is a hassle!!!
i'm not sure what's wrong. usually ff would post something if it was working on the site, so i don't think it's them. i went on my computer and then when that didn't work, i tried my laptop upstairs and both places didn't work. so who knows what's wrong...
moving on, i hope everyone had a great thanksgiving (or at least those of you who are american). i'm still full, i think.
anyway, now it's officially the christmas season, and although i myself am not christian, i love christmas a lot and am saddened by how much material value is placed on it. i just love the spirit and atmosphere of christmas; where did all of that go?

this month has been going by so quickly! with events like thanksgiving, my birthday (!!!!) and all of the projects and essays i've been given, it's a wonder i've had any time to update my stories at all!
i have a new story on fictionpress, called, "walk alone". i like it so far, even if i have no idea what direction it's going in. updates will be sporadic, but i'll try my best to make sure they don't happen twice a year...
i'm glad i finally managed to update my fairy tale story "of all the girls in the world". i've been getting a lot of feedback that I'm definitely taking into consideration. therefore, i've been editing all of my chapters. most of the changes are nothing big, but i believe in constant revision.
to every LJ author who's writing a novel or writing a drabble or ficlet a day, good for you! i try and read and comment as many as i can; i'm a fic whore, i admit it.
i hope everyone will be able to be with the ones they love on thanksgiving and if not, at least be able to have a well-deserved break. until next time!

school.... school school school. and if it's not school, it's swim. and if it's not swim, it's something else. and that something else is not my writing.
however, last night i finally wrote some OATGINW. (i seriously need to get a new name for that story). no promises on chapter updates, but maybe... halloween?
i'm so happy. all of the good shows are coming back on tv. "grey's anatomy" has already had two awesome episodes, the premiere of "gilmore girls" wasn't half bad and "veronica mars" is back on tomorrow. yay! (happy dance)
bringing up a random subject: one song that i can't get out of my head is justin timberlake's "sexy back". i personally think he takes himself way too seriously these days (hello, he was a member of a boy band group. with that kind of past, you CAN'T EVER take yourself that seriously.) however, the song is so fun to sing along to.
that being said, i had this idea that someone should make an icon that says "draco malfoy: bringing sexy back". i bet someone already did, but i'm too lazy to search for it. if anyone comes across one, will they let me know? i've already seen something like it, but it was for "house" and i don't find house sexy at all. ewww. he looks like a sex offender.
but personally, however, i don't think tom felton is sexy, just draco himself, or at least how i picture him to be. so he's a bastard; he sounds like a very snobby, hot bastard. at least he is in fandom anyway.
now i'm just rambling.
i should go write some more.
to everyone else who is in hell (but the more common term is "school") i sympathize and wish you luck in survival.

exactly one week from today, i will be sitting in school, wondering if the day will ever end. bleh. i'm in pre-school mode. my shopping has been completed, my orientation done with, my schedule in hand, and my fall sports have started up again. which means a lot less time for LJ, and ultimately, FF and FP.
lucky for me, i FINALLY finished "second place" today. whoo-hoo! that only took... thirteen months. oh well.
what's up next? working on the next chapter of "of all the girls in the world". looking for a catchier title, don't know if it'll ever come to me. no guarantees on when the chapter will be up, but i'm aiming for labor day, my last day of freedom.
to those of you who have already gone back to school, i sympathize. to those who have not, enjoy the rest of your summer! and to those who work... that really sucks.

so. my summer is almost ending. in three weeks, it'll be gone. (sigh) so much for waking up at a quarter to eleven.
i spent my day lazying around, not doing much of anything, including writing. i have a new plot going through my head, but i want to have more of an idea to go off of than a whim.
so i finally posted for "of all the girls in the world". i hate the title, though, so am attempting to come up with something clever. no clue when i'll post again. probably after i finish...
"second place". the bane of my existance. i've kind of hated how this story turned out. i feel that the writing is, for the most part, pretty immature, and i'm tempted just to delete it. however, it wouldn't be fair to those who actually read it, so i'm determined to finish it. just two more chapters, thank god.
"pacifying potter" is finished. it was fun to write, and the six-chapter story was perfect. i do so love lily and james.
off topic, i'm looking for a nice, good draco/hermione story to read, so if anyone has any suggestions, tell me.

okay, so it's only been a month and a half since I wrote last.
truth is, i've been in hawai'i, visiting my relatives and having a blast, eating the food (which is only the best in the world) and just relaxing. Unfortunately a) i have not gotten any tanner, damn my skin! and b) i did not have much time to write. it's amazing how persuasive six-year-old cousins can be when they want to play.
however, i managed to update "pacifying potter" once and i updated it again today.
i'm half way done with my latest chapter for "second place". after this chapter, there's only one more left. yippee! honestly, the story is no where near how i expected it to turn out. but whatever.
as for "of all the girls in the world"... yeah. haven't even begun a new chapter yet. Sorry. Will start soon, though.
hope everyone is having a good summer! for those of you who work, i sympathize: i have to work all weekend. bleh.

summer is finally here and the weather has just been gorgeous! to all who are students, we are finally free!!!
i am proud to announce that i have updated "second place" after weeks of not writing. sorry to say that i haven't even thought of writing "of all the girls in the world" and that i won't pick it up again until after "second place" is finished.
i have not started on the next installment of "pacifying potter" but will do so and the chapter should be out early tomorrow.

life has been rather weird lately. i had spring break two weeks back and this last week at school had been all half days due to a mandatory state test that the 10th graders have to take. and yet, despite all of that free time, i've been swamped with homework. of course. so therefore, my poor stories must suffer.
on the contrary, the latest chapter of "second place" has been posted today, albeit over a week late. for whatever reason, it was quite difficult to write, and shorter than i would've liked. ah, well.
i have not started on my latest chapter of "of all the girls in the world", unfortunately, but now that i've posted a new chapter for "second place" it is my top priority, story wise.
i hope everyone else is surviving at school-- it's a crazy time of year, that's for sure.

so this weekend has been pretty update crazy. i posted chapter thirteen of "second place" yesterday and the fifth chapter of "of all the girls in the world" today.
i'm going to try and update "second place" every other friday. "of all the girls in the world" should be updated every ten days. however, i can't forsee the future better than professor trelawney can (usually) so who knows how my schedule's going to be in the future.
i was at the library today and i saw this book called "the queen of second place" i skimmed through it, and it seems very similar to my story "second place". let me just say right now that i am not, in any way, shape, or form, plageurizing "the queen of second place" because the first time i saw it was today. the book itself doesn't seem that bad, although when i read the end, i was disappointed. i thought the girl ended up with the wrong guy.... oh well. that's just me.
i saw "she's the man" today. you know how in previews movies tend to show the funniest parts? not this movie. it was hysterical. plot-wise, not the greatest, but i was laughing my head off. be warned: i have the feeling that this movie is funniest the first time around. after that, i think that like "napoleon dynamite", it quickly loses its flavor. however, i completely recommend it if you want to see a light-hearted movie with cute guys.

so i just posted another chapter of "of all the girls in the world" which has been doing much better than i anticipated; thank you to everyone who is reading and reviewing!
the next chapter to "second place" is about halfway done and should be up right on schedule (march 17)
my schoolwork has been quite crazy lately so this weekend is busy. i'm so mad, though; my teachers seem to think just because they have no lives, i don't have one as well. grrrrrr.

ahhhh, it's president's break at long last. i get the entire week off and am devoting it to sleep, my friends, and my stories.
"from michael's computer to yours" is officially done after exactly ten months of agonizing on how to "become" a boy. i'm sorry to say that there will be no sequel, but there's a slight chance at me doing another "princess diaries" fic, but don't expect it anytime soon.
i've started a new story, you see, called "of all the girls in the world." it' slightly based off of the faerytale "beauty and the beast" but with no dancing utensils. check it out, please. i'd really appreciate it.
regarding the next chapter of "second place".... hmmm. yeah. haven't started it yet. but don't worry! sometime this week i promise it will be.
to all you lucky people who got this week off, enjoy it! if you didn't it, i sympathize and hope you have a good week anyway.
